Project: Transportable Satellite Ground Terminal (TSGT), type SET-10.

Purpose: To preserve the communication connection to a mobile satellite unit.

Operation: A computer determines the actual position of the satellite and calculates the correct coordinates for the mobile unit. Then, through a serial connection, the computer programs the two CMAX-810 step motor controllers so that the mobile unit is constantly positioned at the correct angle.

The machine consists of the following components:
- 2 x AMS step motor controller, type CMAX-810
- 2 x AMS step motor, type AM34-637-2
- 2 x precision planetary gearboxes
- 1 x AMS serial program adapter, type SIN-11 in party-line mode

The SET-10 is a mobile TSGT with a disk diameter of 1,8 meter and programmable tracking. The terminal works with a 7/8 Ghz frequency and has a transmitting power of 350 Watts. The terminal is fully mobile and can, including all communication equipment, be placed into a small trailer behind any car.
